WEEKEND HEADLINES

Highlights:

The New Lenox Moehle's visit Defiance - Beth and and whole tribe come for a weekend visit, fun was had by all as there was always babysitting available

Kaylin Jane enters into the church of Jesus Christ - a family baptism ceremony honors the youngest of the clan, age 3 months

Grammie has abundant baby time - Great Gram, Emily, has Kaylin the majority of the time

Kaylin, the wonder child - a baby who doesn't like to sleep, alert, prefers to sit up all the time, enjoys her swing in front of TV cartoons, rarely makes a fuss, and smiles at the merest suggestion

Maestro finally shows for a concert - managed to go to the Sunday at the Center performance by the Toledo Trio - magnificent, and the hall looked great, very proud.

Concert Dedication - The Small family, sponsors of the performance, did a very nice - and touching - dedication to Maestro

Lowlights:

Maestro was not the life of the party - the end of the second week of Gemzar came with some mouth sores, and the inability to get any solids down-- a liquid diet is the present situation, tough to get enough calories that way, more weight loss is certain

  1. So glad to hear about your weekend. Sounds like you and Emily had a great time. What with the family, friends, and concert the endorphins must have been flowing non-stop.

Here's hoping your mouth heals soon and your appetite returns.

  2. Oh how I wish I could have made it to the Center. Glad you were able to be there and to enjoy a family weekend.

Hope you can maybe move up to purees soon. I love Gerber's vanilla custard.

    Sending good thoughts, prayers.

  3. Some wonderful highlights. How nice that Sunday's program was dedicated to you and that you were able to attend. You deserve it. I'd love to hear more about it.

And what about that baby time and family baptism! Sounds like a terrific weekend.

Then the reality of lowlights. Pooooh. No doubt you're on a tough road. We'll keep riding along with you to provide cheers and shoulders as needed.

    This is visitor week? Enjoy.

    Hugs.

  4. Richard: We were so happy to hear that you were able to enjoy a week-end with family and then a concert, as well... I am sure you were a bit tired, so rest and renew, my friend. Liquid diets are not a lot of fun, my mom loved her Vanilla Ensure, really frosty and shaken not stirred!!

So Many blessings to Kaylin, welcome to God's Love, litte one! Many prayers for you, Dick, for soon a bit of respite, and return of your taste buds... All our love, Marion and Bob

  6. So, I read my comment and am sure you know how I meant that "more than deserved" part :0) The recognition is long overdue and most deserving for the devoted MAESTRO!

  7. What a packed weekend - so much so that you had to subtitle your paragraphs. The concert was sensational and all the more perfect for the sight of you and Em enjoying it together. The hall WAS beautiful, and full of love and gratitude for a very special someone. I hope it lifted you up the way it did me, and helps carry you a bit through this difficult part.
Rest. The weather suggests it anyway, and you need to reserve your strength for healing.
Love and prayers coming at you in a steady "Om-m-m-m...."
